What is the basis of gin? Why is whisky sometimes spelt as whiskey? What is a Manhattan? How do you make a gin and tonic? Which glass should port be served in? What is an Amontillado sherry? How is port different from sherry? What is the difference between brandy and cognac? What is a mixer? What is the difference between a squash and a cordial? This interactive module will give you the answers and much more information which will help develop your confidence to answer customer questions. Be inspired to develop your drinks knowledge and use the links to research further. Designed for hospitality staff that want to develop their professional knowledge or for anyone who wants to develop their personal knowledge. The module ‘Serving Beers’ should be used alongside this module as it is not just about pouring beer but will also develop knowledge of different beers and beer drinks.
